'Improvisations for Ballet Class' - new album to release on 24th July!

After a 2 year hiatus, Robert releases a new album entitled ‘Improvisations for Ballet Class’, scheduled for release on Friday 24th July.

Recorded at Robert’s home studio during the lockdown of 2020, the 45 pieces contained here are all original improvisations, suitable for setting to the class exercises listed.

Drawing on Robert's experience in working as a pianist at Northern Ballet, the music covers a bewildering array of styles, tempi and energies, and promises to lead both student and teacher on a familiar yet inspiring path.

The project was consulted on by Northern Ballet’s Jane Tucker, whose help and guidance has been invaluable, and to whom Robert extends his grateful thanks.
